Zwsoft is a local company based in Guangzhou, China. Its programs have gotten some recognition globally, due to their good performance, compatibility, and affordable prices. The company has various products, such as its 2D and 3D programs, for its customers according to the demand of the market. To help the company renew its brand image, we came up with two concepts. The first one is to articulate the core value of the program which is blurring the boundary between people’s imagination and reality, therefore achieves its goal by helping people make their dreams come true. For the shape of the package, we applied an accordion structure to it and made a few cutouts. While opening the package with your hands, the whole package looks like a surrealistic painting, and by guiding your eyesight, the cutouts will walk you through your imagination, like going through a wonderland. The second concept is to emphasize what their software brings to their customers, futures in different dimensions. We all heard about the parallel universe. The reason why it is so fascinating is that this idea opens up various possibilities. Drawn by it, we started to experiment with visual illusions, trying to create a tunnel connecting the present and future. An interesting packaging structure caught our attention, which puts two folders, about the same size, together. For each folder, two sides are closed, and the other two are left open. By inserting the smaller folder into the slightly larger one, we made two designs laid on top of each other. Since the larger one is translucent, to our naked eyes, the two designs flawlessly merge into one like an animation, composing a visual illusion.
